Typostrate is a typography blog dedicated to expressing the importance of typography. Their mission is to educate others about typography as its own kind of art and not just a supporting element of graphic design. They post about examples of typography used in the real world, unique fonts and lettering craft, and the use of type on packaging just to name a few. They also post links to resources such as pages to free fonts, tutorials, and choice supplies to use for such a craft. Artists are featured in special profiles, and numerous works are displayed in the gallery section as examples of the so-praised craft.
Typostrate was founded in 2011 by Christian Goldemann, a graphic designer and art director. He later brought Michael Zeller on board to be the head co-author and editor.
