Louise Fili is a graphic designer known for her work in the publishing industry. During her time at Skidmore College and the School of Visual Arts in 1973, she developed her passion for design, specifically the design of type. Specializing in book jackets and Modernist/Art Deco styles, she has designed roughly two thousand books for Random House. Fili has a great passion for her Italian background, and this is where she draws most of her inspiration from. She has won numerous awards, including a gold medal from the Society of Illustrators, and she currently owns a studio in New York City that specializes in art and typography for restaurants and packaging.
